The History of Marin City – in production
Produced for Marin City Community Services District

Documentary: Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge and west of Sausalito, the quaint village of Marin City is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty in the middle of one of America’s most affluent counties.

But it is not a town. It is not a city. It is something in between.

Home for a short time to The Black Panthers, and famous for the flea market of the 60s and 70s, Marin City sprang to life during World War II as a ship building community. This complex, tightly woven community struggles to hang on to its unique identity – reluctantly joining the 21st Century.
